Bill Lipscomb Memorial Rodeo Is Saturday

The annual Bill Lipscomb Memorial Rodeo features a full line-up of rodeo events.

BATESVILLE – The annual Bill Lipscomb Memorial Rodeo is expected to draw large crowds this Saturday, Feb. 22, at the Batesville Civic Center. Two shows will be held with a full line-up of events at each show. Times are 1 p.m. and 7:30 p.m

Admission prices start at $22 for adults and $17 if paid with cash at the box office or a dollar more if paid with credit car card. The box office opens a day before the rodeo and will be open the day of the rodeo.

Regular rodeo events include bareback bronc riding, tie-down calf roping, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, team roping, cowgirls barrel racing, cowgirls break-away oping and bull riding.

Special added attractions include a gold rush for kids eight and under and best dressed cowboy and cowgirl (seven and under), scheduled 30 minutes before the 1 p.m. rodeo.

The night action includes an egg toss contest and the popular Diamond Dig sponsored by Dale Copeland Jeweler during the rodeo.
In the Diamond Dig. all ladies with paid admission are invited to dig for a hidden diamond ring while family and friends cheer them on from the stands.
