Mark Your Calendar For JA’s Egg Hunt

As spring blooms in Water Valley, Junior Auxiliary is gearing up for an exciting and action-packed month. With a full plate of community-focused events on the horizon, the dedicated members of JA are ready to serve, support and make a difference for the youth of Yalobusha County!

First up, mark your calendar for a day of fun on April 19th at Crawford Sports Complex. Hop into the fun with JA’s annual Egg Hunt starting promptly at 10:30am, a beloved tradition sure to bring a little Easter joy! Children will be divided by age groups to hunt for eggs spread throughout the ball fields. With a mix of classic Easter treats and special prizes, your family won’t want to miss this fu- filled outdoor activity! The Easter Bunny will make a special appearance as well, so bring your camera to snap a few festive pics!

Directly following the Egg Hunt, JA’s Family Field Day will kick-off from 11-1pm. This special event promises a day of fun and friendly competition for families of all ages. Everyone can get in on the action with classic games such as sack-races, egg toss, three-legged races and more! Get ready to laugh together, cheer on loved ones, and create memories with your family!

A chapter favorite, the annual Book Drive, is an initiative dedicated to fostering a love of reading amongst area second graders. Each year, we collect and distribute two books to all the second graders in Water Valley and Coffeeville Elementary schools. Our goal is to increase summer reading and help prepare children for the upcoming reading gate in third grade. Want to partner with us on this important initiative? The last week of school, our chapter will distribute the books and host a special guest author presentation for the children!

Get ready for an evening of friendly competition and community support at the Annual JA Golf Tournament at Yalobusha Country Club on May 3 at 5:30. Whether you are an experienced golfer or just out for some fun, this night tournament promises a glowing time on the green for golfers of all skill levels. If you haven’t joined us under the stars before, get ready for an unforgettable evening hitting glow-in-the-dark balls, neon-lit greens, illuminated holes and a vibrant atmosphere. Ball season is upon us! Come out to Crawford Sports Complex to cheer on the JA girls softball team this season! It is always a privilege for our chapter to sponsor a team of young ladies. The grit and determination of these dedicated softball players is an inspiration to us! We also have several JA members out on the fields this season coaching and leading young ball players. Go team!
