Love and sympathy is extended to the Quay Peacock family of Coffeeville. Quay passed away Tuesday, May 6, at the young age of 60. Quay was a sweet and soft-spoken person and will be missed by his family and friends.
James Lee Sturdivant finished the school year on the principal’s list. His lowest average was a 90 in math and the rest were 93 and up. He earned a computer award, an art award, principal’s list award, and perfect attendance award. James Lee, this calls for congratulations and a big hug.
Hallie Bren DeLoach, daughter of Cody and Beth DeLoach, was in her first dance recital, and I heard she did great! Hallie is a sweet and smart little three year-old girl with a winning personality. She celebrated her third birthday Monday, May 1.
Tillatoba has a new and beautiful little resident – Miss Isabelle Rose Moody, the daughter of Taylor and Bonnie Moody. Isabelle has a big sister and two big brothers to help mommy take care of her.
It’s been a fabulous weekend of celebrations, reported Ginger Harrison. They watched Josh Harrison walk across the stage to receive his diploma at Northwest on Friday.
“We are all so very proud of him and his hard work,” Ginger said.
Afterwards Diane Hill treated the family to supper in Batesville. And on Saturday evening we celebrated Josh’s birthday and graduation, Marnie’s Box’s upcoming graduation and Addy’s Leachman’s 14th birthday – all at “Moma’s” house. They also celebrated Mother’s Day.
“We all had a great evening. Diane Hill made Josh a wonderful birthday lunch and Linda Harrison was there to help us celebrate his birthday and Mother’s Day. We have had a very full weekend!” Ginger added.
Nathan and Kristie Hartley cooked lunch for their mother, Faye. Nathan gave her a dozen roses. Kristie gave her a necklace and purse. Together they gave her Dwight Yoakam tickets. You are one lucky and blessed lady, Faye.
Congratulations to Carson and Madison Traywick of Caledonia on their recent marriage. Carson is the son of the late David Traywick. Carson and Madison were married at Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming on May 9.
Martha Box said it was a great Mother’s Day message from Bro. Tommy Darby Sunday morning.
“Wow, it touched this Mother’s heart and soul,” Martha added..
Martha said she enjoyed celebrating Mother’s Day with her children and grands Saturday, along with graduations and birthdays.
“Talk about good food and good times,” Martha added.
Martha is still recovering from surgery and is working out at Encore Physical Therapy and should be up doing the Bop before long.
“At least my toes are tapping a bit now,” she added.
Jessie Williams enjoyed Mother’s Day with daughter, Sandra McCulla, and William, her grandson was there. He’s staying there with her some along with daughters, Julie Kerr, Connie and Sandra. Jessie is doing much better and gaining her strength back. She extends thanks to everyone who has called, stopped by for a visit or sent a card.
“They are all appreciated. William has been doing some yard work and cleaning around the out side which was much needed,” Jessie added.
Susan Bell of Caledonia came for your writer’s birthday Thursday and left Friday going back home. She had company coming in for the weekend. It was a short trip but we enjoyed her visit.
On Sunday, Donna Garripoli and Tim Sullivan ate Mother’s Day lunch with your writer. Brad, Frankie and Bradley Holliday also came bearing Mother’s Day gifts and birthday gifts. There was a lot of picture taking going on! Thank you Tim, Donna Sue and Frankie for all my gifts.
Happy birthday to Teresa Jackson and JoJo McClanahan on the 15th; Daisy Walton Isabell and Jared Sturdivant on the 16th; Faith Tillman the 17th; Sherry Thornburg the 18th; and Liz McKinney and Melinda Box celebrate the 20th. I pray you all have a blessed birthday!
