Thomas Corrai

TILLATOBA – Thomas “Wahoo” Corrai, age 71, of Tillatoba passed away June 25, 2025. Tom was born Nov. 9, 1953, in Ohio to Anthony and Delores Corrai. He was best known by his nickname, “Wahoo,” and for his lifelong passion for motorcycles. The open road was where he felt most at home, and riding gave him a sense of freedom and identity that never wavered.

Tom found peace in the slower pace of life in the South and made Mississippi his home, drawn to its quiet charm and relaxed way of life. He had a deep love for nature – trees, flowers, mountains, rocks and animals all brought him joy. Whether traveling or exploring new places, he loved experiencing the world around him. He was equally content at home, enjoying classic television shows like Laramie and Leave It to Beaver and the comfort of familiar routines.

As outgoing as he once was, Tom became more selective with his time as he grew older. He treasured quieter moments with those closest to him, especially his loyal companion Denise Anglin, with whom he shared his later years. His bond with their beloved beagle, Biscuit, was strong—he took pride in teaching her to be a well-behaved and loving dog.

Charismatic and quick to spark a smile, Tom never met a stranger and had a natural ability to connect with others. Yet beneath his charm was a fiercely protective heart. He was deeply passionate about the people and causes he cared for—if someone he loved had a problem, he took it on as his own and did everything he could to help.

He is survived by his daughter, Summer (Jacob) Jude; his stepson, Russell Corrai; his sisters, Pamela (Thomas) Hakaim, Jennifer (Don) DiDomenico and Linda (Michael) Tusin; his grandchildren; and his longtime companion, Denise Anglin.

A memorial service will be held at a later time.
