Mt. Liberty News
By Melissa Brooks
Happy Thanksgiving! I pray everyone is finding themselves in the Lord’s favor this holiday season. It’s been a couple of weeks since I’ve felt up to writing. I got sick three weeks ago and am finally feeling normal again. I had a sinus infection, and it was terrible. It’s been going around. We’ve had a great few weeks though. Sunday we had our Thanksgiving church dinner.
It was wonderful. Everyone brought delicious food, and we had a great fellowship. We don’t really do much in my family for the holidays, so I’m very thankful for the time with my church family. I’ll probably cook a little Thursday for the three of us and take my mom a plate.
Bro. Grant Coffey brought us a message on being sure to always give thanks to God and glorify Him. We read about the 10 lepers that called out to Jesus to be healed. As they obeyed Jesus and went to the priest to be deemed cleansed, they were healed. Of the 10, only one came back and thanked Jesus for healing him. We should always be the one that thanks God. No matter what our situation is, we are a blessed people. We were given eternal life through Jesus.
I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving. If you’re looking for a home church, we invite you to join us. Services start at 11.
