Christian love and sympathy is extended to the Dynamite Kirk family of Grenada. Mr. Kirk passed away Feb. 7, 2026, at his home.
Christian love and sympathy is also extended to Michelle Clolinger in the loss of her son, Nicholas Hardy, known to many as “Little Nickey,” who passed away Feb. 4, 2026.
Deborah McCool reported that their lights were flickering on and off Sunday afternoon before finally going out for almost two hours. She said there was nothing unusual going on and added that they were just thankful to have power restored at both home and work. Now comes the task of cleaning up limbs in the yard. Others reported similar power flickers before outages.
Deborah also won five tickets on B100 to the monster truck show in Batesville Saturday. Attending were Tommy, Jason, Dallas, his brother Denver Boyett, and Denver’s girlfriend. Everyone reported having a great time.
“It’s been a two weeks for sure,” said Martha Box. “It brought back a lot of kerosene lamp and candle memories. And even then, we still had homework to do.”
Martha said Ginger, Phil and the boys put up with her for a week, followed by her sister Joyce until Friday. “Bless her heart and mind,” she said with a laugh.
She also expressed thanks to Phil, Ben and the grandchildren for looking after her and trying to save frozen food. “When the power came back on, I got a great workout cleaning two freezers and a refrigerator,” she said.
Many thanks were shared for all the workers and electricians who worked tirelessly to restore power. “Many prayers were said for them and their families,” Martha added.
Christian love and sympathy is extended to the Mike Lancaster family. Though it had been several years since speaking with Mike, he will be remembered for his sweet disposition and kindness toward others.
Donna, Brad, Francesca and Bradley Holliday of Grenada visited Sunday afternoon. Sunday night, David and I watched the Super Bowl. I was pulling for the Patriots and David for the Seahawks. I lost that bet.
