Booster Club Seeks Support For Softball Facility

The Water Valley High School softball team members this season are (front row, from left) Edee Grace Henderson, Addy Douglas, Paisley Blakely, Nyomi Walton, Jamaya Martin, Addison Leachman and Abbi Roberson; and (back row) Mariah Wilson, Kristaney Reed, Bentlee Tucker, Arianna Hattaway, Kenley Pullen, Kaeleah Thomson, Bethany Adams and Rylee Hill.
The Water Valley Fast Pitch Softball Booster Club is asking for the community’s support as it works to secure the future of its program through a dedicated building fund.
Over the years, the booster club has taken on the responsibility of improving and maintaining facilities used by student-athletes in the fast-pitch softball program. These efforts have provided a better environment for practice, competition and player development. However, recent fluctuations in interest rates have increased the financial burden associated with the building used by the program.
The building loan was secured by private individuals on behalf of the booster club. Due to state law and financial regulations, the Water Valley School District cannot legally commit public funds toward repayment of this private loan.

As a result, the booster club is working to raise funds to help offset these rising costs and ensure the long-term stability of the facility.
The building serves as a central hub for the softball program, supporting training, team activities and overall program growth. Maintaining it is essential to sustaining opportunities for current and future student-athletes.
The booster club is independent of the Water Valley School District, and all donations will go directly toward the softball facility’s building fund.
Community members, local businesses and supporters of Water Valley athletics are encouraged to contribute. Donations of any size will make a meaningful difference in helping manage ongoing costs and preserving the program’s momentum.
Those interested in donating or learning more about how to support the Water Valley Fast Pitch Softball Booster Club can contact a booster club member or reach out through the program’s social media channels.
The booster club expressed its appreciation for the continued support of the Water Valley community and its commitment to the success of local student-athletes.
