Maddox – Surrette To Wed May 23

Bryan and Paula Maddox of Bruce announce the engagement of their daughter, Abigail Leigh Maddox, to Jon Clifton Surrette, son of Cameron and Iris Surrette of Water Valley.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Luke Vaughn of Bruce and Ms. Joice Maddox and the late Darrel Maddox, also of Bruce.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Ms. Helen Surrette and the late Morris Surrette of Water Valley and the late Mr. and Mrs. Dewitt Kehoe of Water Valley.

Miss Maddox is a 2022 graduate of Bruce High School and attends Mississippi State University, where she is majoring in secondary education. She plans to graduate in May and pursue graduate studies in school counseling.

Surrette is a 2022 graduate of Water Valley High School and attends Mississippi State University, where he is majoring in secondary education. He has accepted a position with the Starkville School District as a teacher.

The wedding is planned for 5:30 p.m. Saturday, May 23, at First Baptist Church in Bruce. A reception will follow at the home of the bride’s parents. Family and friends are invited to attend.
