The countdown is on, and we are excited to welcome everyone back for another fantastic school year. We can’t wait to see all of our students and begin a year of learning, growing, and making memories together. This year’s theme is “Glow as We Grow!” We know it’s going to be a bright and successful year at Davidson Elementary!
Meet the Teacher will be held on Wednesday, July 30, from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. We encourage all families to stop by, meet your child’s teacher, drop off school supplies, and get ready for an amazing start to the school year.
We are also excited to announce that Y-Care, the YMCA’s after-school childcare program, will once again be available at Davidson Elementary. The program will provide care from 3 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. for students in Pre-K through sixth grade, offering a safe and engaging environment for our students after school. If you need help applying or have questions, YMCA representatives will be happy to meet with you during Meet the Teacher.
The Water Valley School District is thrilled to be able to offer FREE breakfast and lunch for ALL students during the upcoming school year! It is essential that every family completes the online application with www.myschool apps.com. Completing this application helps ensure our district continues to receive important funding that directly benefits our students and schools.
Finally, we want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported our Back-to-School T-shirt fundraiser. We are excited to share that we sold over 50 shirts! Every purchase brings us one step closer to installing much-needed water fountains on our playground. Your generosity and support make a difference, and we truly appreciate your partnership.
We look forward to seeing everyone at Meet the Teacher on July 30 and kicking off another incredible year at Davidson Elementary. Together, we’ll Glow as We Grow!
