Jacque Chambers reports that they had their ladies meeting Wednesday at No Way Jose in Grenada. The group is made up mostly of Betty Sue Chambers’ sister, children, grandchildren and daughters-in-law, along with the children and grandchild of the late Mrs. Willie Beardain.
This was the first ladies meeting they have had in a while. Some have been sick, and others have been ailing following an automobile accident.
Jacque met her sweet Mary Claire Murphy at the Farmers Market in Grenada Saturday morning. They ate mini pancakes and shopped. Jacque bought a crocheted opossum, while Mary Claire got a puppy and a fidget toy.

There was also a beautiful message from Brother Scarborough and Martha said the Holy Spirit filled the building and all who were there.
“What a great lifting up. As the song says, ‘Blessed be the name of Jesus!’” Martha added.
Your writer and David visited with two of our great-grandchildren, Haven Rose and Waylon Jr., Sunday afternoon. Rose started first grade Monday morning, and from the looks of all the smiles, she was having a great day. We didn’t get to visit with the baby because he slept the whole time we were there.
Happy anniversary to Gene and Lillian Standridge on the 13th and Don and Jackie Bowman on the 14th. You boys need to dig deep in your pockets to come up with something nice after they have put up with you all these years.
