Hello everyone, and welcome back to another awesome week inside the Blue and White! It has been a busy one here in the Valley, with sports, homecoming right around the corner, and plenty to celebrate. Let me fill you in on everything that’s been happening.
The Lady Devil volleyball team has been on a roll this week, picking up wins against both M.S. Palmer and South Panola. The team has been working hard on the court, and those two victories are proof that all that effort is paying off.

The football team had a tough one this week, falling to Independence in a tight 24–20 battle. It was a close, hard-fought game that came down to the wire, and the Devils gave it everything they had until the final whistle. There’s plenty to build on, and I know they’ll come back ready to get back in the win column.
The season officially kicked off with a pep rally that had the whole school buzzing. Internet star “Shvfty” made a special appearance and spoke to the students, getting everyone fired up for the year ahead. The cheerleaders brought their usual high energy, and even Dr. Person got in on the fun, dancing right along with them. The eighth-graders took home the spirit stick after showing off some serious school pride, and this year’s homecoming court was officially announced. Congratulations to all of our honorees!

With homecoming on the horizon, there’s a lot to get excited about in the coming weeks. Between the games, the festivities, and all the school spirit filling the halls, it’s shaping up to be one of the best times of the year. So mark your calendars, get your Blue and White ready, and let’s make this season one to remember. There’s truly no place like home — and no school quite like ours.
Aside from all the excitement, students in the Law and Public Safety program have been doing some impressive work. Each student successfully tested their hands-on CPR skills, earning that important certification. On top of that, they all earned their official FAA TRUST certificates! It’s a great example of how our students are gaining real-world skills that will serve them well down the road.
Looking ahead, there’s a lot to mark on your calendars. The Lady Devil volleyball team plays at home on Sept. 3, with JV at 5 p.m. and varsity at 6:30 p.m. Make plans to be there and show your support! Then, on Sept. 4 at 7 p.m., the football team will host South Pontotoc at home. Come out, cheer loud, and wear your Blue and White with pride.
