Bradley Holliday of Grenada spent Saturday night and Sunday with Jake, Roseann, John Luke and Logan Rose. I’m sure the boys had a great time together playing computer games. John Luke and Bradley have been best friends for a long time.
Sheryn Goode says she is looking forward to the upcoming birth of her second great grandchild, who will arrive in two months. Sheryn said that will give her two great grands. Girl you finally caught up with me!
Our visitors Sunday afternoon were Waylon, Holly and precious Haven Rose Dukes. Haven finally got her Valentine bag we had fixed up for her. Haven’s favorite wasn’t the candy, but a little yellow chicken that you could wind up to make it walk. Her little eyes really lit up when she saw that. Also visiting was friend, Martha Box.
Martha had started painting several years ago and had given me her first painting. We had a great visit and good time sharing memories and tales. I gave her the painting back to keep or give to her child or grandchild. Martha and I have had a long-time friendship. We met way back in 1973 when Martha, Benny and their children landed here from Texas! Martha laughed and said we could write a book about Tillatoba, her and Mailbox (her late husband’s nickname). She was late for church at Pine Grove Baptist Church and missed her grandson, Jake, singing. She enjoyed an encouraging, loving message Bro Scarborough shared on forgiveness (seven times 70) , love and compassion that we should have for each other – because JESUS forgives us that many times.
Martha shared that same message with someone over lunch. She ended up having a wonderful, sunshine-filled, lovely day even after a wrong turn on the way to church.
There will be a baby shower for Jackson and Emily Jerrell on Saturday, February 25, at 2 p.m. at Tillatoba Baptist Church. They are having a boy and the due day is March 17. Shelia is excited about being a great grandma for the first time.

I saw a beautiful, sparkling diamond ring on a pretty young lady. I can’t say who the young lady is yet until she tells you all about. I think she calls him Shawty! You did good Shawty!
Thought for the day… He who is waiting for something to turn up might start with his own shirt sleeves.
