Yalobusha County Health Department Will Hold Flu Vaccination Clinics

The Yalobusha County Health Department will hold two special flu vaccination clinics on Thursday, October 18. The clinics will be held at the Multipurpose Building in Coffeeville, from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., and at the health department in Water Valley from 8 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.  

Adult flu vaccinations cost $25.  Pneumonia vaccinations will also be available at a cost of $44. Children under age 19 can receive flu vaccinations for $10. Residents with Medicare or Medicaid are provided flu vaccinations free of charge but will need to bring their cards with them to the clinic.

Residents may also obtain flu vaccinations from private providers and some retail pharmacies.

Mississippi’s flu season typically begins in late December or early January and runs through March.
