Snow?


From the National Weather Service: A WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM CST SATURDAY.
SNOW WILL CONTINUE ACROSS THE WARNING AREA OVERNIGHT WITH AN ADDITIONAL INCH OF NEW SNOW ACCUMULATION EXPECTED. TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS WILL BE BETWEEN 3 TO 4 INCHES.
In Water Valley snow was falling at 10 p.m. Friday and a light accumulation was visible on lawns and vehicles.
One interesting side effect of the snow on Friday afternoon was clogged telephone circuits. Several residents reported problems getting calls through on both landlines as well as cell phones.
Emergency personnel responded to the 600 block of Beachem Street after a resident called 911 to report the odor of smoke in her home. The caller told a Herald reporter that she had to make several attempts to get her call through.
