Law Enforcement Report

WATER VALLEY – Police Captain Roger Thomas reports that Jazzmonica Deanne Johnson was found in Meridian and returned to her family by Meridian police. Johnson disappeared from the home of her father at 331 Suggs St. on March 2, according to the police report.

Lt. Rick McCuan reported the following activity in the Water Valley city limits during the past two weeks:

• Bennie Campbell, 61, and Anthony Rockette, 32, both of Water Valley, were arrested for possession of a controlled substance and disturbing the peace at 2:34 a.m. March 5 on Mill Street. Police allege that the pair was in possession of both cocaine and marijuana;

• Made four arrests for driving under suspension;

• Made an arrest for prescription fraud;

• Made an arrest for disturbing the peace;

• Made an arrest for possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle;

• Made an arrest for misdemeanor embezzlement;

• Made an arrest for DUI, first offense and for evading arrest;

• Made an arrest for public drunk;

• Made an arrest for no driver’s license;

• Made an arrest for drug paraphernalia;

• Made an arrest on a Calhoun County warrant;

• Made an arrest on a Yalobusha County warrant;

• Took a report of joy riding;

• Took a report of malicious mischief;

• Took a report of simple domestic assault;

• Took six reports of simple assault;

• Took a report of trespassing;

• Took a report of petty larceny;

• Issued a citation for violation of the city dog ordinance;

• Issued 72 traffic tickets;

• Investigated three crashes.
