Today is Take Your Dog to Work Day, an observance that has been around since 1999. It is sponsored by Pet Sitters International, the “world’s largest educational association for professional pet sitters, representing nearly 8,000 independent professional pet-sitting businesses in the United States, Canada and abroad.”
The purpose, according to the website (http://takeyourdog.com/) is to help improve the life of shelter dogs by promoting adoption. Our friends at the Oxford-Lafayette Humane Society have some really great pets for those who are serious about adoption.

The only problem I can see with Take Your Dog to Work Day is that your boss might figure out that your dog is smarter than you are.
