Lafayette Street Bridge Project Nearly Complete – Street Department workers installed highway department surplus guard rails on the Lafayette Street bridge Friday. The guard rails are one of several cost cutting measures which have saved taxpayers thousands of dollars, according to city officials. The new bridge is 21 feet wide and will allow two vehicles to pass.
