Law Enforcement Report

Water Valley

WATER VALLEY – Lt. Rick McCuan reported the following law enforcement activity within the Water Valley City limits during the past week:

• Made nine arrests for driving under suspension;

• Made two arrests for assault;

• Made two arrests for no drivers license;

• Made two arrests for possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle;

• Made an arrest for possession of alcohol by a minor;

• Made an arrest for trespassing, disorderly conduct, and stalking;

• Made an arrest for open container;

• Made an arrest for disturbing the peace;

• Took two accident reports;

• Took a report of assault;

• Took a report of malicious mischief;

• Took a report of disturbance of the family;

• Issued 49 traffic citations; and

• Investigated three vehicle crashes.

Yalobusha County

    WATER VALLEY – Yalobusha Sheriff Lance Humphreys reported the following reports and arrests in Yalobusha County during the past week:

    • Made an arrest for drug paraphernalia on Feb. 16 on Hwy. 330, near Tillatoba Lake;

    • Took a report of a runaway child on Feb. 15;

    • Made an arrest for DUI, careless driving, and suspending driver’s license on Hwy. 7;

    • Took a report of a traffic accident on County Road 436 involving a single vehicle and a deer;

    • Took another report of a traffic accident on County Road 238 on Feb. 14. This accident involved a four-wheeler;

    • Took a report of trespassing and malicious mischief on County Road 60 on Feb. 12; and

    Took a report of malicious mischief on Feb. 11 on County Road 15.
