Watermelon Queen Pageant Saturday Night

WATER VALLEY – A new Watermelon Queen and her court will be selected Saturday night during the 27th Annual Watermelon Pageant.
The event, sponsored by the Junior Auxiliary of Water Valley, begins at 6 p.m. at the Civic Auditorium. Queen contestants will be judged solely on stage personality, according to Hope Stovall, pageant chairman.

In addition to Watermelon Queen, contests will be held to select Petite Mr., Tiny Mister, Petite Miss, Little Miss, Miss Pre-Teen, Junior Miss, and Miss Teen Age Watermelon. The judges will be informed that formal pageant wear is not required, Stovall said.
The Civic Auditorium will be available for practice from 9-11 a.m. Saturday.
