Paintings by Pati D’Amico are currently being featured in the lobby of Renasant Bank. The exhibit is the latest installment of a rotating show by local artists sponsored by the bank and the Water Valley Arts Council.

Ten of D’Amico’s “slightly expressionistic” works are included in the show, which will run through the first week of July.

D’Amico, a native of the Hudson River Valley region of New York, studied painting, graphic design, and ceramics at both Rhode Island School of Design and Rhode Island College.

She said that her artistic influences are her uncle, an impressionist painter and graphic designer, as well as Betty Boop cartoons and Vincent Van Gogh. “I like color,” she added.

D’Amico and husband, William Warren, moved to Water Valley from New Orleans. She has worked with Anissa Wilkinson to help the students at Imagination Station create art college books.
