Law Enforcement Report

WATER VALLEY – Lt. Rick McCuan reported the following law enforcement activity within the Water Valley City limits during the past week:

• Made four arrests for driving without a license;

• Made three arrests for driving under suspension;

• Made three arrests for shoplifting;

• Made two arrests for simple domestic assault;

• Made one arrest for DUI, first offense;

• Took a report of auto burglary, radio stolen;

• Took a report of simple domestic assault;

• Took a report of petty larceny of gas;

• Took a report of petty larceny;

• Issued a citation for violation of the city dog ordinance;

• Issued a citation disturbing the peace, loud music;

• Issued 43 traffic citations.


    Yalobusha County Sheriff Lance Humphreys reported the following law enforcement activity in Yalobusha County during the last seven days.

• Took a report of larceny on Hwy. 32 on May 17;

• Assisted Coffeeville Police Department with a domestic violence call on Tennessee Street on May 21;

• Answered a call of malicious mischief on County Road 109 on May 21;

• Responded to a traffic accident on County Road 90 on May 21;

• Took a report of vandalism at the Water Valley Boat Landing on May 21;

• Responded to a traffic accident on County Road 4 on May 24;

• Responded to a traffic accident on County Road 95 on May 24;

• Answered a call reporting domestic violence on County Road 33 on May 25;

• Worked a traffic accident on County Road 82 on May 25;

• Responded to a family disturbance call on County Road 201 on May 25; and

• Assisted with crowd control at a structure fire on County Road 174 on May 25.
