Storm Produces Light Show

A line of severe thunderstorms passed through the area Thursday night into Friday morning causing some minor damage. A tree was reported down on Calhoun Street near the intersection with Wood Street and the Electric Department had to respond to several power outages around the city. This photo shows a severe thunderstorm that passed south of Yalobusha County at 9:30 Thursday night. County Road 122 southeast of town is illuminated by the lights of a passing car.
