Mark Your Calendar For Lake Clean Up

Staff Report

ENID LAKE – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and volunteers for Waste Management would like to remind the public of Enid Lake’s Annual Clean Up Day.  The event is scheduled Saturday, February 27, beginning at 7 a.m.

Anyone who wishes to donate their time and effort to clean up litter and other debris from Enid’s shoreline and roadways should meet at one of the following locations: Enid Lake Field Office, Chickasaw Hill Boat Ramp, or Sylva Rena Grocery.

Last year over 150 volunteers picked up 75 compacted cubic yards of trash and 71 tires. This year organizers hope to increase the amount of trash collected.  A hot lunch, drawing for door prizes and a raffle will follow the morning’s clean up activities. For more information on “Clean Up Day” please contact Enid Lake Field Office at 662-563-4571.
