Police Seeks Tips After Boat Is Stolen

WATER VALLEY – Police are investigating the theft of a boat from a residence on Stephens Street last Wednesday, April 14.

Missing is a silver Sears 12-foot aluminum v-hull. It was reportedly taken by two black males driving a blue 1980’s Chevrolet pick-up truck, according to Lt. Rick McCuan.

The boat’s registration number is MI8117BE. Anyone who can provide information is urged to call the police at 473-2933 or Yalobusha County CrimeStoppers at 1-866-933-TIPS or 473-4935. Tips can also be sent by email to: TIPS@YalobushaCounty.net.

CrimeStoppers callers are never required to reveal their identity nor testify in court.

Lt. McCuan reported the following law enforcement activity within the Water Valley City limits during the past week:

• Made two arrests for driving under suspension;

• Made an arrest for simple assault;

• Took three reports of disorderly conduct;

• Took a report of petty larceny;

• Took a report of malicious mischief;

• Issued a citation for violation of the City dog ordinance, running at large;

• Issued 16 traffic citations.
