Annual Wildflower Tour Is June 30

 The Mississippi Native Wildflower Conservation Program’s Wildflower Tour Day will be held Wednesday, June 30, at the Jamie L. Whitten Plant Materials Center, located at 2533 CR 65, outside Coffeeville.

  Registration will be from 8-10 a.m. Wagon tours of wildflower fields and native grasses will be held throughout the day.

  Presentations will include: Enhancing Backyard Wildlife Habitats;  Native Alternatives to Exotic Invasive Plants; Pruning Hacks and Heathers and Crazy Container Gardening; Plants from Grandmama’s Garden; Pollinators; and more.

  Everyone is invited to bring a plant and trade for another one at the Plant Swap.

  Admission is $3 per person. Lunch will be served to those who call (601) 354-7645 and RSVP by June 21. Also, you are asked to advise if you will have a group of 15 or  more.

  The Wildflower Tour Day is sponsored by the USDA National Resources Conservation Service and the Mississippi Soil and Water Conservation Commission.
