Music In The Park Canceled

WATER VALLEY – The Music in the Park performance this Friday evening with country and gospel singer Wade Cottonfield of Southaven has been canceled, according to Chamber of Commerce officials.

Music begins at 7 p.m. at the Railroad Park pavilion and the Lions Club will be offering hamburgers, according to Chamber officials.

Cottonfield, who is described as sounding like Charlie Pride, will be singing selections from his new album, “Angel On My Shoulder.”

Among Cottonfield’s songs are “It’s Your Mississippi,” “Truckers Love Song,” and “That Credit Card (tore us apart).” He also wrote “The Colonel Reb Tribute Song.”
