Coffeeville Again Event Attracts Crowd

Class of ’68 members decided to go upscale with a candelabra on their table.

The Yalobusha Historical Society held an open house at their headquarters. Former students of Mrs. Carolyn Bell were invited to play the Baby Grand she donated to the church.

Seamoor the water safety sea serpent was a big hit with young and old alike at the Coffeeville Again in 2010 celebration Saturday. The mechanical figure is operated by Artie Hoff of the Corps of Engineers.

Coffeeville Chamber of Commerce officials were pleased with the turnout for the Coffeeville Again in 2010 celebration last Saturday. The crowd was estimated at about 3,000. The winner of the car show was Jimmy Garrett with his 1965 Mustang. The Mayor’s Award went to Eddie Fly for his 1974 Bronco. The winner of the quilt show was Lottie Toole of Teasdale. Cooking contest winners were Peggy Whiteside, first; Opal Wright, second; and May Vick, third.
