Pest Control Application Sparks Investigation

COFFEEVILLE – A residence in Oxford was treated with a pesticide not registered for indoor use and authorities believe that additional properties in this area may have also been treated.

An investigation conducted by the Mississippi Department of Agriculture and Commerce, Bureau of Plant Industry has revealed that Howe’s Termite Control, LLC, of Coffeeville is responsible for the treatment.

Samples taken from one unit of an apartment complex and analyzed by the Mississippi State Chemical Laboratory confirmed that the pesticide was in fact present in the residence.

This investigation is still ongoing, and if you or someone you know has received home interior pest control services from Howe’s please contact John Campbell with the Bureau of Plant Industry at (662) 325-8789.
