Coffeeville Friends Host Holiday Decorating Program November 14

Ellen Jeffery Shaw, Interior Designer from Bruce, MS, will be the guest presenter for “Savor the Season” Holiday Decorating Program this Sunday, Nov. 14, at 2:30 p.m. at the Coffeeville First Baptist Church Family Life Center. Sponsored by the Friends of the Coffeeville Public Library, this program is free and open to the public. Donations will be accepted for the Friends’ “First Books for First Readers” initiative, which purchases new hardback book first graders in the Coffeeville School Dis

The Friends of the Coffeeville Public Library will host “Savor the Season” Sunday, Nov. 14, at 2:30 p.m. in the Coffeeville First Baptist Church Family Life Center. This holiday decorating program is a very popular annual event enjoyed by many throughout our area.  

Following the program, the Friends will present a Tasting Tea of savory holiday treats and punch with free recipe booklets provided to those in attendance.

Ellen Jeffery Shaw of Bruce will once again be guest presenter for this creative holiday decorating program. Ellen has a degree in Interior Design from Mississippi State University and is co-owner of Jeffrey’s in Bruce. She is married to Joey Shaw, and they are the parents of two young children.

No admission will be charged, but the Friends will be taking donations for their annual “First Books for First Readers” initiative, which purchases a brand new hardback book for every first grader in the Coffeeville School District each year.  

The goal of “First Books for First Readers” is to encourage reading, foster a love of books and libraries, and allow every child to experience the joy of owning a new book.
