New WVHS Baseball Coach Announced

Kary Bridges has accepted the position of Head Baseball Coach at Water Valley High School, Superintendent Dr. Deborah Moran announced Thursday.

Moran added that Coach Bridges, a Mississippi native, graduated from Oak Grove High School in Hattiesburg as All State in baseball.  He played baseball at Ole Miss and graduated All-SEC and Academic All-American. 

Bridges brings 10 years of professional baseball experience for 6 different organizations. He finished his professional playing career with the New York Yankees organization. His high school coaching career includes Head Coach for Columbia Academy, Oak Grove High School, and assistant coach for Brandon High School.

“We are excited to have Coach Bridges join us and look forward to another great year in baseball for Water Valley High School,” Moran said.
