WATER VALLEY – Greening The Valley, an environmental art show opens tonight at Bozarts Gallery on Main Street.
The show will present art work in a variety of media with attention to non-toxic methods, natural fibers, organic, sustainable, or recycled materials, according to gallery owner Annette Trefzer.
“Environmental art helps us rethink and improve our relationship with the natural world,” Trefzer said. “It is art concerned with ecological, environmental, and social issues in theme or technique.”
The works are by 12 local artists including: Andi Bedsworth, Lyn Kartiganer, David Race, William Warren, Pati D’Amico, Hanne Gaycken, Nicole Gladden, Jeff Long, Caren Vitell, Leigh Ann Black, Mari Foster, and Katrina Geenen.
The opening reception tonight will run from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
