Take A Look At The Yalobusha Economic Development District Board

    The Yalobusha County Economic District was founded in late 2007 and is managed by 10 board members appointed by county supervisors and the mayor’s of the county’s three municipalities.    

    The district employs a director, Bob Tyler, who was appointed in December, 2007. The mission of the Yalobusha County Economic Development District Board is to support existing Yalobusha County manufacturers and retail businesses while attempting to attract new industry and business that will provide employment for Yalobusha County residents.

    The members work closely with the Yalobusha County Board of Supervisors, other county and city officials, and chambers of commerce, as well as state and national officials, and local business leaders. The members also routinely work with such support agencies as the Mississippi Development Authority, North Central Planning and Development District, North Mississippi Industrial Development Association, the Tennessee Valley Authority and other state and federal agencies.

     The district has an office in the complex between Coffeeville and Water Valley, formerly known as the Carothers Construction Company.
