North Mississippi Fish Hatchery Schedules Youth Fishing Rodeo

ENID LAKE – A Youth Fishing Rodeo will be held at the North Mississippi Fish Hatchery and Visitor Education Center at Enid Lake this Saturday, May 21.

This free event, sponsored by the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks, is for children ages 15 and younger. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m.

The Visitor Education Center pond will be stocked with catfish for this youth activity. Young anglers should bring their own fishing equipment and bait along with a container to take their catch home. A drawing will be held for prizes and refreshments will be provided for the young anglers.

This event is an ideal way to introduce youngsters to fishing. Adults are encouraged to bring their children, neighbors, and friends for a memorable morning of fishing fun.

The North Mississippi Fish Hatchery and Visitor Education Center is located off I-55 at Enid Exit 233 east.
