Tri-Lakes Fairgrounds Will Host Summer Festival Aug. 17 – 20

The Tri-Lake Fairgrounds Summer Festival will be August 17 through 20 at the Fairgrounds located on Highway 315-West, across from the VFW in Water Valley.

Mississippi Delta Shows will be returning to supply all the thrills, chills and laughter on the Midway Carnival Rides. Just to name some of the popular rides:  The Bullet. The Big Eli-Ferris Wheel, The Octopus, The Scrambler, The Hustler, The Super Slide, The Swinging Swings, The Tilt-A-Whirl, and The Rock-O-Plane. There are several carousels for the small children.

Arm Band Night will be Wednesday, August 17th, when for $16.00 you can ride all you want from 6 to 10 p.m.

There will be many concession booths to try your ability at  many different games like dart throwing, softball throwing, basketball shooting, and BB shooting . Several concession stands will have carmel apples, potato whirls, popcorn, corn dogs, hamburgers, cokes and of course cotton candy.

Mississippi Delta Shows’ owners are Mike and Debbie Jenkins and their hometowns are  Purvis and Lumberton, Mississippi. The Jenkins are the third family generation to own and operate the family owned carnival. For over 60 years, Debbie’s parents Paul and Betty Hurkes and grandparents operated the family owned carnival. Mississippi Delta Shows has been playing at the Tri-Lake Fairgrounds since 1983.

The Mississippi Delta Shows has played the last few years at Grenada Lake “Thunder on Water”, Pittsboro, Eupora and at the Ashley Furniture Family Picnic.
