Downed Pole Causes Concern

A utility pole fell over sometime late Saturday night on Price Street at the Church Street intersection.

The base of the pole had rotted allowing the pole to come down gently enough that none of the residents heard it fall.

Workers from the City Electric Department worked until around 1:30 Sunday morning making temporary repairs and were back on the scene Monday morning completing the job. Ricky Ragon of the Electric Department (bottom photo) looks for damage on the downed pole.
