Fire Destroys Home On CR 87

A Wednesday night fire gutted a home at 237 County Road 87 about 4 miles north of Coffeeville. Firefighters from Velma and Coffeeville were toned-out at 7:45 p.m. and were joined by additional county units from Pine Valley and Tillatoba. The first arriving units reported that the structure was well involved. Most of the firefighters were at the blaze for about four hours. But at least on Velma truck had not left the scene at 1:08 a.m. Thursday morning.
