Elected Officials Take Oath Tuesday

WATER VALLEY – Yalobusha County’s newly-elected officials will be sworn in for a four-year term in a joint ceremony on Tuesday, December 27 at the Yalobusha County courthouse in Water Valley.
Circuit Judge Smith Murphey will conduct the ceremony. The ceremony will take place at 6 p.m.
Taking the oath of office will be: Sheriff Lance Humphreys, Chancery Clerk Amy McMinn; Circuit Clerk Daryl Burney; Tax Collector/Assessor Linda Shuffield; Coroner Ronnie Stark;
County Attorney Gail Barton; Justice Court Judge District 1 Gary Tippit; Jus-tice Court Judge District 2 Steve Riley; Constable District 1 Brent Anderson; Constable District 2 Randy Simmons;
District 1 Supervisor Tommy Vaughn; District 2 Supervisor Amos Sims; District 3 Supervisor Lee McMinn; District 4 Supervi-sor George Suggs and District 5 Supervisor Frank “Bubba” Tillman.
Many of the candidates won election in party primaries in August and the General Election in November.
