Thomas Noel Bell
WATER VALLEY—Thomas Noel (Tom) Bell, 73, died Tuesday, July 10, 2012, in Scott and White Hospital at Temple, Texas. Mr. Bell was visiting in Texas, where on the previous Friday he attended his son’s, Thomas A. Bell, Change of Command Ceremony, at Fort Hood Army Installation.
A memorial celebration service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 21, in First United Methodist Church at Water Valley, with Rev. Brad Sartor of Ingomar and Rev. Pat Ludham of Senatobia officiating. Visitation will be in the church sanctuary from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the service.
Born March 6, 1939, in Water Valley, Mr. Bell graduated from Water Valley High School, where his father, the late Noel Bell, was superintendent, and his mother, the late Marcella Bell, was cafeteria manager. He received his BS degree from the University of Mississippi.
He served four years in the U.S. Army in Germany. After teaching in West Point, and at Lafayette High School, he and his family moved to Tok, Alaska, where he taught high school math and science for 14 years. During that time, the family built a log home and enjoyed hunting and fishing before returning to Water Valley where he taught until his retirement. He was a member of the Yalobusha County Historical Society and First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Victoria (Vicki) Jacks Bell of Water Valley; three sons, Robert Brian (Amanda) Bell of Oxford, Steven Noel Bell (Mylene) of Phoenix, Arizona, and Thomas Arnold Bell (Julie) of Harker Heights, Texas; a brother, James R. Bell of Corinth; and six grandchildren, Conner, Austin, Morgan, Bennett, Joshua, and Sierra.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Beth Bell Crumby.

Richard Glenn Fly
WATER VALLEY—Richard Glenn Fly, age 69, of Water Valley died Saturday, July 14, 2012, at his home.
Born in Coffeeville, he was a son of the late Henry and Gladys Colter Fly. He was lovingly raised by his second mother, Ophelia Fly, after the early death of his mother. Richard was a machine operator at BorgWarner for 29 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and was an enthusiastic fan of the Atlanta Braves. He was fond of playing bingo, and looked forward to his many visits to the Smoky Mountains. Richard faithfully attended services at Goshen Memorial Chapel and also attended Camp Ground Baptist Church.
The funeral service was held in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, with Bro. David Ross officiating. Visitation was from noon until service time. Interment followed in Camp Ground Cemetery with Daniel Ross, Tim Hughes, Frank Cadena, Calvin Phillips, Buddy Neal, and Billy Pilcher as pallbearers.
In addition to his father and both mothers, he was preceded in death by a brother, Benton Gale Fly.
Survivors include his wife, Gail McCullar Fly of Water Valley; a daughter, Cindy Fly, of Water Valley; one sister, Virginia (Jimmy) Woods of Duck Hill; three brothers, David (Maybell) Fly of Senatobia, Henry Dale (Kathleen) Fly of Water Valley, and Kenneth (Mary Linda) Fly of Tillatoba; and two granddaughters, Atlanta Gayle Griffin and Karlee Lynn Griffin, both of Water Valley.

Tamasana “Jasi” Gaither
WATER VALLEY—Tamasana Jayslin “Jasi” Gaither, age 3, died Sunday, July 8, 2012.
Born September 12, 2008, in Oxford, Jasi was the daughter of Tamasana Kirk and Daryl Gaither. She liked to dance, sing, and swim at the beach. Her favorite characters were Shrek, Sponge Bob, and Dora, and she loved going to school at Ms. Virginia’s play-school.
Visitation was Friday, July 13, from 5-7 p.m. in Seven Oaks Funeral Home at Water Valley. The funeral service was held at ten o’clock in the morning on Saturday, July 14, in the Henry Chapel of the funeral home, with Bro. Dan Dickerson officiating. Burial was in Goshen Cemetery in Yalobusha County with Mark Martin, Paxton Mullen, Steve Chism, Bubba Kirk, Larry Simmons, and Kevin Gaither as pallbearers.
Jasi is survived by her mother, Tamasana Kirk of Water Valley; her father, Daryl Gaither (Teresa) of Grenada; her grandparents, Betty and Drew Kirk (Paw and Nana) of Water Valley, and Maurice and Mildred Gaither (Mamaw and Papaw) of Water Valley; her aunts and uncles, Deanna Kirk, Bubba Kirk, and Melissa Self (Troy), all of Water Valley, Dale (Lisa) Gaither of Oxford, and Eric Gaither of Cordova, Tenn.
Lola Margaret McArthur Sanders
WATER VALLEY—Lola Margaret McArthur Sanders, age 77, died Monday, July 9, 2012, at Oxford in Baptist Memorial Hospital—North Mississippi.
Born May 3, 1935, in Fayette-ville, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late James D. and Maggie Faircloth McArthur. Margaret was retired from Big Yank Corporation after 42 years of service as payroll clerk.
She loved going to church and was an active member of Jumper’s Chapel Methodist Church in Water Valley. Margaret enjoyed playing the drums with the band, Vallie Echoes, cooking and caring for her family, shopping, traveling, and spending time with family, friends, and grandchildren.
Visitation was held Thursday, July 12, from five until seven o’clock in Seven Oaks Funeral Home, Water Valley. The funeral service was held in the Henry Chapel of the funeral home at eleven o’clock Friday morning, July 13, with Bro. Fred Eakes and Bro. Joel Jones officiating. Burial was in Pine Crest Memorial Gardens in Yalobusha County, with Damon Ross, Joey Brunner, Ronnie Snider, Donnie Laughlin, Larry Davis, Steve Ross, Aidan Ross, and Braylee Brunner as pallbearers. Clinton McKinney, Johnny Gullette, Ramesh Govan, Paul Phillips, Gene Golden, Max Bowles, Lee Eubanks, Dan Wright, Bill Forsyth, and Billy Marter were honorary pallbearers.
Mrs. Sanders is survived by her husband of 57 years, Hubert H. Sanders of Water Valley; two daughters, Vivian Snider (Ronnie) and Cindy Ross, both of Water Valley; two sisters, Mae Anna Wilkes of Washington, N.C., and Virginia Trask (Doug) of Hamlet, N. C.; a sister-in-law, Dot McArthur of Richmond, Va.; a brother-in-law, Donnie Laughlin (Rachel) of Driver’s Flat; two grandchildren, Damon Ross (Hope) and Dana Brunner (Joey) both of Water Valley; and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Justine Plummer; and two brothers, Clyde McArthur and William McArthur.

William L. Tribble
COFFEEVILLE—William L. Tribble, age 65, died Sunday, July 8, 2012, in Water Valley.
Born November 18, 1948, in Coffeeville, William who had served in the U.S. Air Force, was employed as an electrician for the U.S. Corps of Engineers. He was also owner and operator of his business, Timeless Treasures, in Coffeeville, where he designed matting and frames for pictures, poems and treasured keepsakes. He was a member of VFW and was an active member of First Baptist Church of Coffeeville. William was a die hard Ole Miss fan, an avid outdoorsman, and deer hunter, and he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Visitation was held Saturday, July 14, from 5 until 7 p.m. in First Baptist Church at Coffeeville. The funeral service was held Sunday, July 15, at three o’clock in the afternoon in the church with Bro. Thad Moore, Dr. Rick Holloway, Bro. Truman Scarbrough, and Bro. Daniel Hathorn officiating. Burial was in the Coffeeville City Cemetery with Alton Pollen, Dale Potts, Chester Ayers, Chick Miller, Donald Gray, and Allen Freer serving as pallbearers. John Daryl Tribble, Carter Brandon, Charles Jones, Hal Vaughn, Dennis Ward, Mack Burns, Larry Holloway and Kyle Holloway were honorary pallbearers. Seven Oaks Funeral Home of Water Valley was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his greatly beloved wife, Pamela H. Tribble of Coffeeville; a daughter, Melanie Vanlandingham of Grenada; a son, Scott Tribble (April) of Coffeeville; two sisters; five grandchildren, Allen Tribble, Luke Tribble, Shelley Vanlandingham, Ben Vanlandingham, and Corey Vanland-ingham; and one great-grandson; a sister-in-law, Patricia Lyles of Gastonia, N.C.; two brothers-in-law, Chris Holloway (Patsy) of Baldwyn, and Ricky Holloway (Frances) of Eupora.
