Look Mom…I’m An Eagle!

This turkey vulture (Cathartes aura) perched on the freshly painted Stephens Street water tank looks as if he has aspirations to be an eagle. But, we know him as just a plain ol’ buzzard. So far, city officials have refurbed three of the city’s four tanks. The final one, located on West Lee Street, is scheduled for next year. – Photos by Jack Gurner
