The “Rural Community Meeting” in Oakland will be held on Tuesday night, October 9, at the Oakland Community Center (formerly the Oakland Presbyterian Church) from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. This meeting is free, and the public is invited to attend.
It is one of a series of meetings to be held by Brandon Presley, Northern District Public Service Commissioner across the Northern District to hear directly from ratepayers.
In addition to updating the public on current issues before the PSC, Commissioner Presley plans to discuss his “Ratepayers’ Bill of Rights”; updates on ‘Zap the Gap’; PSC satellite offices; and financial assistance programs available to low-income ratepayers. He will also discuss updates on the No Call Law and other consumer related topics that affect Mississippians and our economic climate.
