Davidson Elementary School Fall Festival

Pretty In Pink – Alexis Kordik was definitely “in the pink” last Friday at the Davidson Elementary School Fall Festival with her pink hair and pink cupcake face painting. The annual event started as a kindergarten project more than two decades ago. The festival is now a major fundraiser for the school bringing in from $6,500 to $7,500 each year. – Photos by Jack Gurner

The inflated “bouncies” are always popular (below and above). But, the little guy in the top photo appears to be a little apprehensive about the drop.

The “Feed the Elephant” game (above and below) always attracts a crowd. To play the participant shoves a peanut up the pachyderm’s snout and he snorks out a prize.

Spider Fan – Johnny Doyle checks out his face paint spider at the Da-vidson Elemen-tary School Fall Festival held last Friday. Ans-ley Bartlett, a student teacher from Ole Miss, applied the paint.

More bouncy action.

Students, parents, teachers and staff paid little attention to the wet and cold last Friday to enjoy the annual DES Fall Festival…indoors, of course.
