Rehabilitation Program At Fish Hatchery Saturday

ENID LAKE – The North Mississippi Fish Hatchery Visitor Education Center    will host a Wildlife Rehabilitation Program on Saturday, April 13 at 2 p.m.
Nancy Fachman of Water Valley, a rehabilitator with Mississippi Wildlife Reha-bilitation, Inc. (MWR),  will bring some of her educational animals to the Hatchery’s Visitor Education Center adjacent to Enid Lake.
Her program will detail how animals come to the MWR and about efforts made to return them to their native habitats.
Fachman majored in zoology at Memphis State University.
Participants young and young at heart can learn more about these creatures and about how rehabilitators help.
The program is free with price of admission, which is $2.50 for adults ages 18-59, and $2.00 for youngsters ages 3-17 and adults over the age of 60.
The MWR is a non-profit organization that was formed to provide wildlife assistance for injured and orphaned animals. Licensed rehabilitators are responsible for returning wildlife to the wild.
The Visitor Education Center is part of the Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks and is located at Exit 233 east off I-55.
