Coffeeville Adds Wildlife Exhibits To Homecoming

The Coffeeville Chamber of Commerce will host the Fifth Celebrate Coffeeville and North Mississippi Wildlife Exhibit/Show on Saturday, October 5.
Chamber members have been busy working to put together a fun day on Front Street in Coffeeville, for the public to enjoy. Front Street will be filled with arts and crafts booths, as well as booths pertaining to anything to do with hunting, fishing, and wildlife.
Food vendors will abound to entice hungry event goers, as they are entertained with all day music from the bandstand. The class reunion area will bring those eager to visit with old friends, as classmates pitch their tents in the reunion area.
Children will be able to again enjoy the children’s play area, where games and blowups will be a popular stop for the day. Mississippi Wildlife and Fisheries will have a giant fish tank on hand for children and adults to see, as well as hunter safety information and other wildlife related activities.
The Corps of Engineers will host a fun booth.
New to this year’s event will be a Best of the Hunt Deer Mount Contest, a Hunter’s Dream Mount Contest, (which will include any mount), and a Best Fisherman’s Catch of the Day, (which will include any marine mount).
The Chamber will also sponsor a Crazy Camo Kid’s Contest for children ages 12 and under, who dress in their hunting apparel for the day. Two great bands have been enlisted to entertain the crowd during the day, as well as musical talent from others, who will appear on stage all during the day’s events. The Yalobusha Historical Society will also host an open house during the day.
Event t- shirts have been ordered and will be available from the Chamber for $15. Anyone interested in having a booth for arts and crafts, food, or anything pertaining to wildlife and hunting/fishing will want to get in touch with the Chamber at 662-675-2932.
Those who wish to be sponsors for the event will need to contact the Chamber as soon as possible to get their sponsorship on the list.
The Chamber members are excited to again host a fun day in Coffeeville. The Chamber also requests area citizens start a clean up-fix up campaign to make our town look awesome as those visiting come to Coffeeville on October 5, 2013.…Where Old Friends Gather!
