WATER VALLEY – Police aided Pontotoc County officials with the arrest of a burglary suspect here.
James Larry Dean Winters, 25, was arrested Feb. 15 after a traffic stop by Water Valley Police, according to Captain Roger Thomas.
Winters was wanted for a burglary in Pontotoc County that occurred in 2013.
During the stop WVPD officers ran Winters’s personal information through NCIC and confirmed the Pontotoc warrants. He was turned over to the Pontotoc County Sheriffs Office.
Captain Thomas reported WVPD officers also issued nine citations for speeding, five for no insurance, one for no tag, one for expired tag and one for running a traffic device.
They also made three arrests for driving under suspension.
