Introduce A Kid To The Outdoors At Fishing Rodeo

ENID LAKE – The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks’ (MDWFP) Visitor Education Center (VEC) adjacent to Enid Lake will host a youth fishing rodeo on Saturday, May 17. The fishing rodeo is open to youth ages 15 and under; registration begins at 7 a.m.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own fishing gear, catfish bait, and stringers.
Fishing rodeos offer a quality fishing experience for young anglers in a controlled and safe environment. Rodeo ponds are well stocked with catfish to make it easier for participants to catch fish. This event is a great way for families to spend quality time together.
Those seeking additional information may call the VEC at (662) 563-8068. The VEC is part of the North Mississippi Fish Hatchery and is located at Exit 233 east of I-55.
