WATER VALLEY – The town got a good spring cleaning Saturday morning thanks to the Town and Country Garden Club and a group of volunteers.
The effort got underway at 8 a.m. at City Hall. The City of Water Valley provided a garbage truck for litter and trash removal.
The project was coordinated by the Town and Country Garden Club’s Conservation Committee.
Four public areas were adopted by various clubs to tackle on cleanup day. Town and Country Garden Club members worked Railroad Park, Water Valley Garden Club members worked City Park, Water Valley Lions Club members worked Railroad Depot and the Boy Scouts and the Cub Scouts worked Crawford Sports Complex.
The project falls under the club’s Conservation Committee, which also includes Bonnie Cox and Sara Nell Champion.
