Jeffreys Hired As County’s New Ag And 4-H Agent

COFFEEVILLE – The county’s new Ag and Natural Resource agent was introduced at the “first Monday” Board of Supervisors meeting. Kyle Jeffreys started his new role Monday and was introduced by Mississippi Extension Service County Coordinator Pamela Redwine during Monday’s meeting. The position has been vacant since last January, when former agriculture agent Brent Gray resigned.
Redwine also explained that Jeffreys will serve as building manager for the county-owned Multi-purpose Building, a role Gray performed both in his role as former extension agent and continuing until the position was filled. The Multi-purpose Building houses the Extension Service and also includes an enclosed arena, lobby and conference room. Jeffrey’s duties as building manager include preparing for horse shows and other events in the arena.
Redwine also told supervisors that the office associate position also vacant at the county’s Extension Service could be filled next month following recent interviews. This position has been vacant since October after Lisa Dudley resigned to take another position.
“Hopefully we will have a full office in February,” Redwine added.
