WATER VALLEY – Deputies made a pair of drug arrests over the weekend according to Sheriff Lance Humphreys. Ray White of Water Valley was arrested after an early morning traffic stop on County Road 436 Saturday. White was initially stopped for careless driving and had a suspended driver’s license.
During a search incident to arrest, deputies discovered multiple rocks of alleged crack cocaine. He is charged with possession of a controlled substance, driving with a suspended driver’s license and careless driving.
Earlier in the weekend Cody Spriggs of Southaven and Terry Higgins Jr. of Horn Lake were stopped on I-55 for improper equipment. Higgins was driving and did not have a driver’s license, according to the sheriff. Consent was given to search the vehicle and approximately three ounces of alleged marijuana was discovered.
Both suspects were charged with possession of a controlled substance and the vehicle was seized.
