4-H Shooting Team Raises Money For Projects

Yalobusha County 4-H Shooting Sports provided concessions for the MS North Half AIMS Compe-tition held at the Yalobusha Multipurpose Building on Monday, March 21 through Wednesday, March 23. The proceeds from the concessions will help the youth in our community participate in local, district, state and national level competitions, along with helping maintain the range. We appreciate the communities support in helping the youth progress on so many levels.
AIMS is a fast growing extra-curricular activity in our public school systems that children of all ages can enjoy. The program was implemented into schools two years ago and sees an increase in participation on an annual basis. AIMS stands for “Archery In Mississippi Schools.”
We would love to see this program grow every year to the point this program is in every public school system in the state of Mississippi.
We have a terrific group of youth who really dedicate themselves to help the community and to provide help when needed. The youth put in many, many hours during the fundraiser and provided an extreme amount of help to make this event possible. We would like to say thank you to them for everything.
We would like to take time to thank Yalobusha Economic Development and the Mississippi Department of Wildlife Fisheries and Parks for allowing us the opportunity and for promoting our program.
We would like to thank everyone for their support, to anyone and everyone who helped, for everyone who donated items, and to those who donated hours on end to help make this fundraiser a success. We look forward to next year!
