Excuses Are A Dime A Dozen, Donate Blood At Sylva Rena Drive
Sylva Rena Baptist Church will hold a blood drive with Mississippi Blood Services (MBS) on Sunday, May 1, from 12 – 4 p.m. The MBS Donor Coach will be in the church parking lot. All donors will receive a T-shirt. Donors can now check their total cholesterol on their MBSConnect Account.
Excuses are a dime a dozen: “I’m too busy.” “I don’t like needles.” “Afraid I’ll feel bad afterward.” “Someone else will do it.”
“There are a lot of excuses why people don’t want to give blood,” Susan Ates, MBS public relations specialist, said. “There is one good reason to give: blood donors save lives.”
Donating blood is safe, simple and it saves lives. Donors must be at least 17 years old (16 years old with signed parental consent, visit our Web site for a copy of the form), weigh at least 110 pounds and have a valid ID.
